FastFerment makes making batches of 2.5 gallons easy. If you're careful how tight you make the fittings, you'll be fine. If you have your hops packed in bags, you can let the primary and secondary fermentation take place in them without racks. Yeast removal is very easy thanks to the glass attachment. First, there must be some type of gasket/washer between the base valve assembly and the stein adapter and a thicker washer between the adapter and the stein.
