Does its job, but does not run smoothly. my old ones are better Good for making a batch or two, but I don't want to use it for commercial quantities.

On first use the gear box broke in a way my husband can't describe. Now it gets stuck in the open state permanently. It's still moderately useful so we're keeping it, but I'm very disappointed with this purchase.

When I first used this spoon (1/4 cup #60) I was impressed, three weeks later when I needed it for the second time, not so much. The trigger/gear mechanism is off and will not release dough. Attempted repair, worked a couple of times but still had problems. I've heard good things about Fat Daddio products but was deeply disappointed in them.

For almost 60 years we've been baking cookies without a spoon and without accidents, but not without significant messes and chocolate-covered hands. So this old dog ordered a shovel like this on a whim and learned a pretty good new trick. This newfangled device produces consistent sized cookies and protects my hands from chocolate. The scoop dispenses the cookies cleanly and efficiently. who knew I don't, but I see easier times ahead.
