These are genuine Delta parts. Since my shower faucet was so old I wasn't sure of the part number so I took a chance on this one. It turns out my screw was beveled and this one is right in the middle. I didn't get to use the pen but the screw and cap fit my old pen so I still had everything I needed to fix it. At least everything was interchangeable.
