thin seals in spare parts

I give 4 instead of 5 stars only because the seals included in the set are thinner than the original. The replacement was installed about a month ago and everything is still working fine. A tip for do-it-yourselfers: first open all valves slowly and partially. Now I think the original build was still good. I think I just turned everything on too abruptly. There are many videos showing how to turn on the water in the facility for the first time in the spring. Follow their advice.

The plumber failed, I made it.

My Febco 3/4 Counterflow leaked a bit last winter due to severe freezes. I actually paid the plumber $120 to fix it. It took him two weeks to get the part and a few weeks later it started leaking again. boo! Instead of trying a plumber again, I decided to fix it myself. There are several videos online showing how to install one of these and I've watched a few. As it turned out, the repair actually took less time than watching the video, it wasn't difficult. If you can handle a pair of pliersโ€ฆ

Exactly what I needed for replacement parts

Great and quick fix for my leaky block. I didn't realize it was that easy to fix, unlike a sprinkler repair service who knows how much it costs to replace a backflow preventer. Mine leaked more and more each season, to the point where playing with all the valves stopped causing it to eventually close. This set did the trick in about 5 minutes. The only recommendation I would give to the manufacturer is to indicate on the packaging what size o-ring fits what size tubing. I found the answerโ€ฆ

Fixed a leaking Febco anti-siphon valve in minutes

I bought this to fix a 22 year old Febco anti-siphon valve that was leaking. I didn't know which part was broken so I bought this kit with most of the internal parts. The leak turned out to be a simple o-ring that you would find in a much cheaper kit, but on disassembly the old brittle plastic plate fell apart so I was very glad I bought this kit. Before ordering this kit I had it looked at by a plumber and he told me I need to replace the valve and conversion kits are not available. Glad Iโ€ฆ

Worked well for me for universal joints and parts

I have a FEBCO 765 3/4 in. valve for my outdoor sprinkler system. My entire sprinkler system was not installed until the summer of 2009 and this new part started leaking this spring when the system was opened (start of season 4). I live in New England and every fall I have to clean my pipes and blow air out of my heads to prevent frost damage. I was disappointed when this new valve failed so quickly. I wonder if it won't fail every few years. I've read at least two other reviews that suggestโ€ฆ
