For the price, this is a great easy way to get light in 'remote' areas. The only thing I don't like right away is that the switches on the wires that go to the bulbs are very finicky right out of the box. Simply touching the switches will flicker and dim the light. I plan to replace them later or just remove them for my own purposes. I would happily pay a few bucks more for the switches not to do this. I bought these for my chicken coop. It took me a while to figure out why they aren't working. Each lantern has a switch, there is a switch on the back of the solar panel, and they go apart in a chord. Something wasn't included or attached so I had to set everything in the right direction and also wait for the batteries to recharge during the day. What I love most about this product (aside from the fact that it's solar powered so I can back light my stable where there is no electricity ) lies in the fact that it has two separate cables that connect to plug-in lights.
