My speedometer isn't ticking anymore 5.3

My speedometer started ticking, I noticed that especially after I filled the engine with an additive that supposedly cleans the sludge that had formed. I figured I'd have to spend a lot of money, after some research I came across people saying that a bad o-ring like this will result in oil not being properly drawn out of the sump and properly distributed to the valves. I also replaced the oil pan gasket and my speedometer runs much better. The engine is even quieter.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

My Yukon had low oil pressure to the point of no cold starts and shook 40 times. I installed a new o-ring and it now has 50psi cold cranking pressure. I also had a fairly loud ticking at idle but it went away after I replaced the o-ring. I would definitely replace this o-ring before installing the new oil pump as this appears to be an issue with the 5.3 and an oil pump change may not be necessary. Very satisfied with the product.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Weight

Did the job. on parts

I noticed my 05 Avalanche had low oil pressure. After researching online, I found that the o-ring on the oil pick-up tube wears out quite often over time and causes low pressure (my truck has 201,000 miles). While the job turned out to be a bit more difficult than I first thought (the front diff runs right over the oil pan cover and had to be lowered to get to the cover), this turned out to be exactly my problem. Once I put everything back together I was happy to see that my oil pressure was…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing

A good replacement for the oil pick-up O-ring.

Fits my 2003 Hummer H2 6.0L V-8. Didn't know I had low oil pressure issues until I changed it. When I changed the oil pan gasket, I heard that it would be a good idea to also replace the oil reservoir o-ring. My old o-ring was still soft, but it had deformed into a cylindrical shape instead of this donut shape. After restarting the engine I noticed that the oil pressure now fluctuates between 35psi at idle and 60psi when accelerating. Previously, the oil pressure had never exceeded 45psi…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Best spent $5.00 but hard to come by

Using this on a GM 5.3. If you notice low oil pressure on a COLD START, but the pressure builds as the engine warms up, then the o-ring on the intake manifold is probably worn and hardened, allowing oil to flow past it until it warms up and expands. , Your engine is low on oil, you may have jack noise caused by this problem and the top end also suffers from low oil. This o-ring replacement is just what you need. It's tricky to get to, you'll have to remove the front differential (if you have…

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Some bugs

Purr like a kitten!

As you can see in the video I had a very very loud knock almost a knock. I researched options from a bad exhaust leak to a rod knock. But something very remarkable happened, the noise came and went. Since I already had lower oil pressure, I decided to pull the trigger anyway and replace the O-ring. After replacing it works great! 30psi after warm idle, no chatter, very quiet engine with 340,000 miles. The old ring was crushed and rotted. It broke as soon as I pulled it out of the suction tube…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Appearance
