Large size perfect for 34 tooth rear wheel set to keep chain and derailleur away from spokes. Metal doesn't break, much better than plastic.

I ordered this spoke guard for a vintage bike that I am restoring. This product is of good quality and perfect for the bike. I couldn't be happier.

This spoke guard prevents the chain from slipping out of low gear 1, high gear. Without this spoke guard, when downshifting from 2nd gear to 1st gear, the chain will jump between the large cog and the spokes.

This will not work with a Shimano Deore 7 speed hub as the thickness does not allow the cassette to be attached. Although the diameter was perfect. I flattened and cropped it but it still doesn't work. So if your cassette locknut doesn't have enough thread clearance, it won't work.
