Festool 496964 400Mm Sanding Block Review

This sanding block in the "Abrasive & Finishing Products" category was not up to my standards. As my tests showed, the sandpaper easily wore down and became ineffective quickly. I had to keep replacing the paper making the process frustrating and time-consuming. .

After trying this block for sanding, Im blown away by how smooth and flawless MY finishing projects have turned out .its ergonomic design fits comfortably in my hand and its precision sanding capabilities have saved me a lot of time. The only downside is that it's a bit pricier compared to other sanding blocks on the market. Overall its efficiency and results justify the investment..

Not sure what it was made for - some people seem to use it for body work. I use it to grind sleepers when laying model railroad tracks by hand. A long sander is essential to get a nice flat surface and a dust extractor keeps the room tidy. Great for this hobby! Made very simply, but I assume that this is a small series. 3M makes sandpaper that is perfect for well-placed holes.
