My car passed the smog test!

The product may last a long time, or maybe not. It was relatively easy to swap out on my BMW 530xi and helped get rid of the P0444 code. I also replaced the gas cap o-ring, maybe that helped too. Worth the price just to get through the smog!

Pros
  • A dream come true

Didn't work for me

I had a 2a1a code with the service engine coming up soon. I bought this product based on the price and reviews. When I mounted the tank valve I noticed that the rubber had scratches like it was a coachman. So I received the returned item. It's been a month since I bought it so I can't return it. I installed it and it fixed the code I had. The reason I'm giving two stars is because the tube it doesn't click doesn't connect. i have a leak The code will soon be light again with the Service Engine.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Annoying

I have a 2010 BMW 328xi sedan and soon the service engine light came on. I also noticed that the car didn't start well after filling up, but otherwise there were no problems starting it. My local mechanic checked the diagnostic and it showed 2A1A and 2A15. This indicates a small leak in the evaporator system, but he couldn't find anything wrong. I searched the internet and the Bimmer forums suggested a faulty purge valve. The vent valve (or tank vent valve) is probably stuck open. When you fill

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Fixed my hard start after refueling

On my recently purchased X5 3.0is 2007 (e70 model with N52 6 cylinder engine) I had a problem with the fuel cap error message and P0442 ( found a small leak in the evaporator system)( also the car would not start every time I filled up. It only happened after filling up - every other time it started straight away ie until my next gas station, then Splashing, needing to hit the accelerator, rev up the engine when it's stuck etc to keep it running but once started it was fine again, even onโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Sad packaging
