Every home needs them

This is a must have for every home. Everyone thinks they don't need them, but I once had a friend whose grill caught fire and set the house on fire. Fortunately, firefighters put it out before any serious damage was done, but the fire extinguisher wasn't enough. It would be a way to stop it before it spreads.

Now I feel safer for outdoor recreation

We don't like fire extinguishers for really small fires and we saw a video of them being used and decided to buy them. Thank goodness we haven't had a need for it yet, but the videos and reviews from people who have actually used it are helpful. It seems well made and I like the comfortable shoulder straps. We hung ours on the wall in our laundry room next to the kitchen. It is not recommended to hang it next to the stove in case there is a fire burning in the stove and you cannot reach the…

Good product but be careful when using fiberglass splinters!

Great to have this as a way out of a scary situation. We thought we would need it, but we were able to completely put out the fire with water. I folded it up and put it back in my pocket and now I have a bunch of fiberglass shards in my hands. I wish there was something on the packaging to warn against this. I didn't even think about the material and I didn't really know fiberglass shards were a thing. But now I know.

You may be glad you got this

I bought two packs for a very reasonable price. One for my kitchen (where a fire in a frying pan can be a problem) and one for my car (if I ever need to pull someone out of a broken and burning car that would be very helpful). Products like this fall into the category, "Come to think of it, this is a great safety option!" Sized enough to cover a flaming gas grill, frying pan, or even a burning person's back or legs (although on it is indicated on the ceiling container that it is not intended…

Worked For Me – Outdoor Recreation

So listen, I had no intention of writing a review for this product. I bought this a few months ago because I live on the fourth floor in NYC and don't have a fire escape and even though I've lived here for ten years I had an instant panic attack from being caught in a fire. I bought them for myself and then sent them to all my family members. Tonight I'm cooking a burger on the electric grill on my patio. I use one of those grill safe rubber mats to keep it cleaner - I think that's the culprit.

Pros
  • Very Good Value
Cons
  • Frequency
