Works well. - Hard Drive Accessory

Works very well. I put in a Samsung 1TB drive and it's faaaaaaaaaas. I tested with USB 2, 3 and C. Installation was easy with no problems. The only problem I had was my own fault. I wanted to use this as a boot disk with multiple ISOs. I didn't realize there could be a boot issue trying to use ACPI and it doesn't like USB C or 3. It really depends on the distribution. This issue is resolved if the system also has USB 2.0 ports. It's not the Corps' fault.

By inserting it into the housing, there is no high thermal conductivity.

Insufficient thermal conductivity due to the SSD slipping compared to screwing the heatsink directly onto the thermal pad/SSD. When I cloned the HDD to it, it got very hot and I'm sure the SSD in this case was even hotter. While this is a good case, there are cheaper options that will likely offer better protection against thermal throttling and/or better protection against potential SSD damage.

Does the job: HDD Enclosure

I got this for a 2TB PCIe SSD to be used outside of my laptop. worked fine The package includes a small screwdriver and extra screws (welcome). Opening the device and installing the SSD is not difficult, but it will take some time and effort. When I used the SSD externally and transferred about 1TB, the unit warmed up (but didn't get hot) and worked fine. I like that the case is shaped like a heatsink and has a thermal pad that can be placed on top of the SSD to dissipate heat to the metal part

Great M.2 holder for Macs M.2 SSD management

I recently upgraded my Mac Pro from a 1TB SSD (M.2 NVMe) to a 2TB SSD to sell my old device with a capacity of 1 TB. I took this M.2 case to mount and erase the SSD via USB. It worked flawlessly, and the entire process of unboxing the device, installing an old 1TB SSD, and performing the disk initialization took less than five minutes. Good deal on this product.

I received the goods quickly, but I'm missing a thermal pad, which I don't mind too much. The product is a beautiful metal case with an easy to install system. The scope of delivery includes additional screws, the appropriate connection cable and a USB-A to USB-C converter. The speeds I got were good from both the connector and the converter.
