I use this for my aeropress every morning. I'm honestly very impressed with the build quality. At first I thought the thermometer was useless, but it turns out to be relatively accurate and gives you a good idea of how far you've gotten. No complaints here and seemed a fair price. It appears to be a Chinese product, with several companies putting their own labels on it. I would say choose one at an affordable price.

Why make a product with a plastic thermometer body when the pot is heated to over 200 degrees? Temperature sensors must be made of glass. It is already deformed and will come off soon. The device would be useless if you didn't have an accurate temperature reading without a working sensor. I also found that it was leaking at the weld point of the handle. I'll get back to you as soon as I find a suitable replacement.

I am very happy with this kettle. It definitely met my expectations. The kettle is easy to clean, I've had it for a few months now and it hasn't rusted (I have the gray version). This makes pouring hot water very easy, and with the long gooseneck design I have complete control over the water flow. I like pouring coffee on top of coffee so this type of kettle gives a smooth and even pour but the size of the jug is really smaller than I would like . When I make a coffee carafe with my Melitta, I usually have to fill it at least twice to make a full carafe of coffee. The metal is also fairly thin and light, so we'll see how long it lasts. For me this is the perfect fit. I get up before the rest of the family and make MY cup or two of coffee. The kettle is light but not flimsy.
