Good hardware for headphone accessories

I bought the FiiO BTR3K mainly to use with a Boltune BA002 transmitter connected to my TV. The BTR3K works: sounds good, maintains a stable Bluetooth connection, and allows me to use aptX LL or HD depending on how I set up the Boltune transmitter. So far I've encountered two issues, neither of which are of major concern to me, but might be to you: while the Android version of the FiiO Control app works fine, the iPhone version of this app doesn't work for me at all: it can't see that BTR3K is…

Pros
  • CSR8675 A Bluetooth 5.0 receiver designed to bring studio quality audio through your ears.
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fantastic performance.

This little DAC/amp costs a lot per dollar. I was very pleased with the apparent improvement in sound quality. I mainly use it when streaming music to my phone, the difference is noticeable. Structurally, it is a small device with a solid construction. It's like quality when you hold it. I'm serious about the small part. The thing is about the size of a USB stick, maybe a little smaller. Good thing it comes with a clipped dodead. The phone app is pretty much useless to me, but that doesn't…

Pros
  • For more power, an independent AK4377A dual DAC and more detailed resolution, the BTR3K features 2.5mm balanced and 3.5mm unbalanced outputs.
Cons
  • Expensive

Great bluetooth adapter

dongle which I have used before So far using my 15 year old Shure IEM headphones with my iPhone 7plus without the jack has produced a SO loud beep and I couldn't control it I was in the market for anything. It also didn't stay connected to my body well unless it was near my phone (like in the same pocket. Kinda doesn't make sense), so I looked for something with a belt clip. I chose between BTR3, BTR3K and BTR5. I finally settled on the BTR3K because it was available faster than the BTR3 on…

Pros
  • Bluetooth indicator light + iOS Siri call + inline control (on headphones with CTIA control you can use the mic as well as play/pause, volume and track select controls)
Cons
  • Requires a socket
