I bought this before my first oil change for my 'new' Toyota. To save money, consider getting a plastic version with an oil filter. I tried this one but with the plastic my hands were all covered in oil and then I thought I'll use that as a check next time the oil comes out. I'll shorten the hose as it doesn't need to be that long, but on my next oil change I'll use it and not be as dirty. Nice to have when you need updated tools.

Try using it instead of the included plastic tool that comes with the filter. I have an oil drain valve on a sump with a hose and wanted to be able to drain all the oil into a container without spilling anything so I got this for the filter as well. It seems well made however, when I first started using it the length of the tip that goes down the drain of the filter seems to be too long and it goes down the drain before making a seal leading to it that oil was leaking everywhere.
