The filters are almost the same. They have a wire mesh on the back to keep the paper from compressing the filter. This isn't rocket science. Filters that filter more clog faster. I believe this balances the idea of good filtering with inefficient filtering. I use washable filters but they don't filter better. My wife has allergy problems and I have to see a show. These works!

The product has reasonable price and good quality. However, the seller's packaging was inconsistent. You can tell the packaged filters were crushed because the long edge of the filters was not at a 90 degree angle but at a 60 degree angle, suggesting they were crushed. Also, the "X" section on the front of the filters was wavy rather than flat as a result of crushing. The Amazon outer packaging was in perfect condition with no damage so the filters were shipped in the same condition.

We're tired of running to the local hardware store for filters. We live in the desert so dust is a thing. Lots of dust. We change the filters at least once a month. Buying in bulk from major hardware stores just means we have a ton of filters waiting to be used. Not to mention that her MERV rating is only 11.
