Filterbuy 17.5X21X5 Air Filter MERV 13 Optimal Defense: Effective, But Pricey

I recently purchased the Filterbuy 17.5X21X5 Air Filter MERV 13 Optimal Defense (2-Pack) for my Rheem HVAC system. While I appreciate the effectiveness of these filters in removing contaminants from the air, I was disappointed with the price. At almost double the cost of some comparable filters, I expected to see a noticeable improvement in air quality. While I have noticed some improvement, I'm not convinced it's worth the cost.
