Mid drive motors put more stress on the chain. After a 300 mile Brose drivetrain (560w) totally worn out (chain, cassette, sprocket) my mechanic recommended this lube. The next chain covered 1000 km. My current eMTB has a 1000W Bafang Ultra motor and the chain is still within tolerance after 1000 miles. Almost dry, does not attract much dust.

I was skeptical about e-bike lubricants, but had problems with our e-cargo bike and the efficient chain lubrication. The lube I usually use on my regular bikes (White Lightning) doesn't last two days before the cargo bike chain starts squeaking and squeaking. It just couldn't handle the higher loads on the chain. I applied this lube and the chain was smooth and quiet even after a couple of weeks. It's worth it.

Bought for a 75lb eBike that I ride every day. I live near a mountainous area and I have to climb a lot of hills, which means more excitement on the track, but it works really well. Don't forget to clean your chain regularly as well. I found this chain lube to be superior to other brands and good value for money. FYI, you can also use it on any bike chain, not just eBikes. I have ridden this chain over 1000 miles in all seasons and it still runs with minimal wear. It's hard to beat!

This Finish Line e-bike chain lube is NOT a product that will still allow quiet and smooth shifting on my e-bike. Every gear change was accompanied by a loud bang, which I've never heard with other bike lubes. When I put lube on the chain, it was wet too. Thought I'd try it on my 2019 Specialized Turbo Levo and so far so good. E-bike marketing can be bs, but at least the cost is comparable to non-e-bike products. I use Dumonde Tech regularly on other mountain bikes but it forms a sticky layer although I apply and wipe off the excess as instructed. This e-bike lube is fairly thin and leaves a light film that doesn't build up as much. In terms of durability it seems to be holding up well, but for me it's about 30 miles before any link is serviced.
