Does not work with click torque wrench

I sent it back because it doesn't work properly with a click torque wrench. When you reach the torque setting for the torque you want the attachment to produce, the torque should be enough for the torque wrench to click. If it isn't, it just keeps turning and over-tightening the screw. It's well made, but it doesn't work as it should.

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Less tolerance than listed

Rated load is approximately 600 Nm (440 ft/lb). I only used this a couple of times before the main outlet adapter broke. I got this tool to remove the chain carrier bolts. The most normal removal torque is about 300 ft-lbs and a simple tap can loosen the screws. I use this when screw access is limited. I want to say that this is my fourth time using it and I have not used it for any other purpose. I would not recommend this product to anyone using more than 50 percent of what it is advertised…

Great for the price

First important note: I only used this to tighten the nut to 500 ft/lbs so I didn't drive it to the stated limit. It worked great for me and was incredibly cheaper than a torque wrench with the same capabilities. The multiplier has an accuracy range of around 4%, which must also be taken into account with the accuracy of the torque wrench used. This can result in a relatively large discrepancy in actual torque, but that's the price to pay to save a few hundred dollars (minimum) on a more…

Probably going back

My 18" ratchet couldn't move the nut I put on the 18" breaker last week. I had to use the breaker attached to this tool to loosen the jam nut. If you rotate the device without a load, you will feel it being tightened in the same place with each rotation. Then, with additional effort, it goes into a phase of gentle rotation, and then tightens again. It seems to me that some gears have been mixed up. Either it is defective or the videos on YouTube are fake. Definitely coming back next week. Now…

Super torque in a small package

I bought this to solve the need to use an extra long collet tube on socket wrenches to get extra torque to loosen or tighten large nuts/bolts over 300 ft/lbs. I made a tubular steel handle extension for this application. Be careful when drilling the handle as it is made of hardened steel. I inserted three stainless steel screws and attached a 40 inch handle. This works similarly to the much more expensive $300+ torque wrenches. I can still use it as usual to loosen the tire mounting nuts since…
