Bad Design - Knives & Tools

This folding pruning saw appears to be the quality product I've come to expect from Fiskars and it arrived (well packaged) quickly except. The teeth literally don't fuse, so any leafy twigs or shrub/trees over 3/4" thick at the cutting line will just bind the blade; If the woodcut isn't bent I've had 2 other pruning saws over the years that have been lost, damaged or lost and had significant tooth tilt or misalignment and have been more useful. I will not buy this saw again.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons

Great little saw.

Cool tool. Used it right away to cut 1-1/4 inch thick branches and the blade did the job, no problem. There is some wobbling if the saw is held at the wrong angle, but that's not a problem. Folding is a little tricky as it can snap under your fingers but overall this is the only saw of this type I own and I couldn't ask for better. Folding securely for storage and carrying is a Fiskars hallmark thanks to its great design and finish.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥

No worries good for saws

I own and use a variety of Fiskars cutting tools and they have never let me down. til today. Have you ever used a toy saw? Do you know the ones that used to come with the kids toy carpenter set? Yes, that's how it cuts. Interestingly, the saw was not Fiskars trademarked. It looked exactly like the first two photos on the list, unlike the second two. Maybe this saw was made by another company, I don't know, but it didn't work like other Fiskars I've used. You might want to spend a few bucks more

Extremely poor quality blade with incorrect pruning saw blade pattern.

Terrible. I returned it. I cut a lot and recently lost my favorite pruning saw. I had other Fiskars products and thought this was a good deal. Boy was I wrong. This saw is so poorly finished and engineered that it's hard to believe it's a genuine product. The blade is very thin - definitely not stiff enough to cut even a medium sized thing. I was trying to cut fairly small maple branches (1/2" to 1") and the blade was bent so much that it was very difficult for me to cut. In addition, the teeth

Works with a bang

When I opened the package, my first thought was that I was deceived and this is fake! I bought the next larger size at my local brick and mortar store, but after getting home I decided I needed the smaller size. So I bought this saw and waited for it to show up. In the meantime I needed my big one so I opened it up and used it. It worked like magic, gently cutting through branches. It was well designed and very durable. When this arrived the next day I couldn't believe it was the same company…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Terrible blade, better get a 6 inch slider from Fiskars!

We use a lot of garden saws to build paths. I must have bought a dozen in the last few years. Oak and madrone. We have used Fiskars 6 inch slide saws and they work well. I prefer folding knives like the 7" models because they don't loosen or slip while sawing like the 6" models. It would be nice to have an extra saw blade for larger branches. Well, after we couldn't cut through a small pine tree with this saw, we threw it away. The cutting performance was just terrible - a far cry from 6…
