Finger holes too small for my thumb

I was looking for a pair of curved blade scissors to cut threads on quilts without the risk of cutting the fabric. I saw someone online using scissors that looked exactly like the photo on Revane's website. Unfortunately, Revane's photo doesn't show the size of the scissors very well compared to someone's hand. My hands are not unusually large (I wear men's gloves M or L) but the finger holes in the scissors were too small to fit my thumb through. A pair of scissors might be fine for someone…

Pros
  • Compact size
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Not for frequent use

I originally bought these tips to help trim the edges of an appliqué on my embroidery machine. They were good for a while. The scissors are ok for the price. My problem with them is that they don't have the same durability as the others I use. I have two pairs of these and one pair seems warped and doesn't cut well at all. The other pair is no longer very sharp. I have gingher scissors that last longer, but they're a lot more expensive. I used these Fiskars almost every day, but now they are…

Pros
  • Small tips are great for crafts
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Doesn't cut as well as I expected

I have one of these scissors that I bought probably 30 years ago in Finland where they were made at the time and have been using them as nail scissors ever since. These are great nail scissors. I accidentally left them in a place where I can't get them now so I bought a new pair here. Since they are brand new I expected them to cut my nails a lot easier than the old ones. They don't. The handles are also made of much cheaper plastic. I suspect that the fact that they are made in China has…

Pros
  • Dual loop handle ambidextrous
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
