Product description was vague. The old mirror should stay in place if working properly. My mirror was completely smashed and I thought the replacement would come with clips to attach to the old fitting. I put it together, but it's a temporary fix and I know it.

Fits perfectly, looks like new. Just make sure you know how to install it properly as it is only glass and needs to be heated and any broken glass on the mirror to be replaced removed then scraped off (I used an extension cord and a hair dryer). because I didn't have a flashlight). The mirror is a great cheap replacement for a broken driver's side mirror. There were only two small rectangles of double sided tape in the kit to attach the mirror to the car. I ended up running to the store to get some tape to make sure it stayed in place once installed. It's not an exact replacement for the original mirror, but it was very close. I don't notice that it has a slightly different shape than the passenger mirror.
