Works well 1/30th the price of name brand industrial tools

This tool does 4 pump presses and they appear to be good solid connections. I've used this tool on several jobs as a plumber and the only problem I've had was fixing a wall. When I opened my jaws to remove the tool, one of the dies fell into the wall and I had to spend some time with the endoscope to extract it. Secure the jaws before pressing in situations where recovering from a fall would be difficult.

Great tool, best among power tools and hand tools

For the DIY enthusiast when you need to do some plumbing (and not a lot of work) from time to time, this is amazing. It takes five or six strokes to compress the fitting. Just keep pumping until he can't pump anymore. One person is enough to get the job done (unlike a similar hand tool that relies on leverage and hand strength). If you do a lot of plumbing, this can be a bit slow (still a lot faster than soldering!). Otherwise a great tool. Durable, heavy, easy to use. Just replacing my…

Perfect for DIYers

That's a great price and it works! Compression requires 10-12 clicks. I can't imagine how that works without a hydraulic pump, especially in tight spaces. Due to the thickness of the jaws, it won't work in the tightest of spaces. In these places, battery-powered models may or may not work. For a DIYer, this does the trick. Releasing one of the jaws from the finished crimp is somewhat difficult; so you have to move But the rivets are strong. I've used it on 3/4" and 1/2" Propress fittings I…

Great tool with a design flaw - cannot crimp a tee

Great tool with a major design flaw. Very strong and heavy tool. Works very well and easily seals all pressure fittings. But the tool has one serious drawback: it can't crimp tees because the vise head is too thick and the indentations allow the tee to sit down and lock the crimp latch. I don't know how they overlooked something like this. almost like they never tested it and never tested it. Very disappointing from a design perspective as I am now stuck with a tool that can only crimp straight

  • Durable finish

  • Great price

Cannot crimp hand tool tee

Some reviewers noted that the 90 degree portion of the tee cannot be crimped with this tool due to the tool size. One reviewer said there's no problem if you crimp that leg before both legs are straight. Based on this review, I bought the tool. However, I found the reviewer wrong - at least for 3/4"tees (and I'm guessing 1"). I believe the reviewer showed pictures for a 1/2" tee that might fit - I haven't tried it. A 3/4 inch tee definitely won't fit. As tube size increases, straight leg length

Ok for tees!

I've had the IBOSAD crimpers for a few months now and have been using them for some basic plumbing work. However, I have not used it to crimp a T-fitting. I just read some reviews that said this tool should not be used to crimp the center "T" connection. I pulled out the tool and the tee and found that it can definitely be used on the middle port of a tee, you just REALLY need to plan ahead. The middle joint must be made first or second as the tool will only allow the fitting to go into the…

Should have been called pipe crimping tool but Ts

Worked well on angled straight connectors but not Ts. Using a hydraulic pump is a great idea and makes it easy to put 600 pounds of pressure on a fitting. Regarding situation T, the workaround is https://www.amazon.com/Lead-Brass-Fitting-Class-Female/dp/B003OYJEI8/ref=pd_sbs_3/139-2733760-5853036?pd_rd_w=b37cX&pf_rd_p=0f56f70f-21e6 - 4d11 -bb4a-bcdb928a3c5a&pf_rd_r=W80R2ECX4G29W2CTRVQA&pd_rd_r=2e212d06-482d-4a43-93ed-15879a06c417&pd_rd_wg=RbZOE&pd_rd_i=B003OYJEI8&psc)=1. Surprising for the price

Installed a water heater for a friend, it became a lot easier. Soldering new hardware in a SUPER tight closet would be awful. This crimper saved the day. 6 90's, 2 male adapters and 1 female are crimped and they are all crimped very well and do not leak. The rotating head definitely made it easier in some places. The only thing I didn't like was that it seemed to pinch the copper at the joint of the jaws, forming very sharp, crushed copper protrusions. Not sure if other pliers do this as it's…
