For the DIY enthusiast when you need to do some plumbing (and not a lot of work) from time to time, this is amazing. It takes five or six strokes to compress the fitting. Just keep pumping until he can't pump anymore. One person is enough to get the job done (unlike a similar hand tool that relies on leverage and hand strength). If you do a lot of plumbing, this can be a bit slow (still a lot faster than soldering!). Otherwise a great tool. Durable, heavy, easy to use. Just replacing my hydraulic tank.
