POOR quality. Wouldn't buy. If my daughter would take her to the Bahamas for us. 0s were originally for the boat (1998). They were ok, they just didn't clean well. They installed and fell apart in less than a month. Have contacted the seller. Since more than 30 days have passed, returns and refunds are not possible.

I bought this for a friend to replace one I lost overboard while sailing with him. The colors are downright unpleasant, but that also makes it VERY visible in the water. We tested the buoyancy and the entire handle floats making it easy to find in the water. The price is great considering how ridiculously cheap name brand winch handles are.

Meet your expectations for what you pay for It's functional and light, the color fades after a while in the sun but more importantly, ball bearings in my rust and don't see any salt water, it comes from rain and/or washing the boat so it doesn't spin as freely as new. I'll have to fix this with some sort of rust cleaner, but since you can't service the bearings it won't fix the problem too well and prevent them from rusting again.

It's good quality but don't expect to find it if it falls in the water with little turbulence in the water. It floats, but just below the surface. So if you don't grab it before dropping the tack and jib to get it, you probably won't find it unless the water goes glassy. I will order another one and find a way to make it float better and be more visible in the water. Would give 5 stars if it floats above the water better and easily or more colorful.

I ordered this handle because I didn't want to pay twice as much for a product that looks and feels identical (even in the same colors) from well-known winch manufacturers. Use the square base plate for the first few days, but this does not affect the functionality of the product. But now, after a few weeks of use, the metal part seems to be showing signs of material fatigue with visible signs of wear on the teeth of the metal part. The winch handle arrived on time and is as described. The handle is light and the 8 inch model works well on a mast where a long handle is difficult to manoeuvre. The only downside is that once locked in the winch, the handle will pop out if a slight upward force is applied to the handle. The bottom lub detent is made of soft plastic that deforms when force is applied, causing the handle to pop out of the winch.
