A grippy shoe for those who don't care about toe protection.

Pros: Grips like crazy. Looks good for mountain bike shoes. Flexible enough to walk inside. Cons: Oddly long and narrow fit. The Sued is an odd choice for a shoe you ride in the mud. You will not protect your toes if you touch a rock or a stump.

Pros
  • Lined with a soft textile lining, the shoe offers maximum comfort and cushioning, keeping the wearer's feet comfortable throughout the day.
Cons
  • May be too bulky for some riders.

Good shoes new review

I bought them for my husband. He's new to mountain biking and immediately felt the difference in the way this shoe helped his feet stay on the pedals. He normally wears a 9 1/2 wide, and the 9 1/2 in those five tens was a little narrower than he's used to, but after 10 miles on his bike it was still fine.

Pros
  • Great shoes. Good support. I have wide flat feet and they fit perfectly.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer a tight fit.

Long and narrow is the best in my rating

We bought these shoes for my son for mountain biking. The traction of the outsole with the pedals is excellent. They are made of canvas and suede that are suited to the trails he rides. My biggest problem is the size. My son wears a size 8 measured in REI, the smallest size they wore was an 8, when he tried them on they were large. So we ordered a size 7.5 from Best Buy, when they arrived he put them on and they were still too big. It was just over an inch in the toe and back of the heel. He…

Pros
  • They work great on a mountain bike! I like the way they hold the pedals. After the ride they look good.
Cons
  • May lack ventilation

Works well for MTB, the best in my rating

They work well on mountain bikes with very sticky soles. They are a little bigger than I expected. I would order 1/2 size smaller. It's not the most comfortable hiking shoe, but it's great for riding.

Pros
  • I recommend it
Cons
  • May not be suitable for extreme weather conditions

Good shoes for the money!

I was looking for my first mountain bike shoes and they caught my eye. After a quick review of this and a few other models, I decided to try the Sleuths. I couldn't be happier! The rigid outsole and sticky outsole help your feet stay on the pedals when tackling steep descents and big climbs. I don't have to worry about slipping anymore, now I can concentrate on the track in front of me. Great job Adidas!

Pros
  • Great grip, good quality and a versatile cycling shoe that will keep you going!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people wearing orthotics.

Great shoes I think

Based on the recommendations, I'm 1/2 size smaller than what I usually wear. It was definitely the right choice. Can't comment on durability as I didn't have time to ride due to bad weather. For the money you can't go wrong in my opinion...

Pros
  • Bien comodos!
Cons
  • Cannot provide adequate arch support

withstand punishment

The shoes were bought for the functionality although they are beautiful shoes. Lasted a year riding BMX and mountain bikes. My son just bought his second pair.

Pros
  • The adidas Five Ten Sleuth Men's Mountain Bike Shoe in Green is a versatile shoe that can be used for everything from cycling to everyday activities.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer a wider toe.

Excellent grip my pros and cons

I just started mountain biking and these shoes have great pedal grip on flat soles. My legs stay in place. A bit pricey but they do their job

Pros
  • Great shoe and grip!
Cons
  • May not suit people with high arches.

Sturdy and stylish in my opinion

I love how these shoes look and how grippy they are. They fit a little more, but not that bad. Maybe half size. I would have liked additional padding on the tongue and sole of the shoe. This is my first pair of adidas and I can't wait to ride in them.

Pros
  • Great shoes for your money!
Cons
  • Might need a hack

Amazing shoe for flat pedal rides!

I was looking for casual shoes with flat pedals that don't look like flat pedal shoes. Not only are they great to ride, but they look great too. I'm usually on the borderline between 10 and 10.5 so I got 10 as some have mentioned that they are a bit big. 10 suits me perfectly. If I could complain about anything, it's that they're a bit tight in the tow box (think Nike or Brooks) but not uncomfortable at all. I might buy a second pair when they wear out!

Pros
  • Excellent value for money and amazing pedal grip from the sole. Easy to wash and very comfortable.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for long-term wear.

Another winner in my review

This is the second Five Ten shoe I've ordered. I bought the Freerider Pro for me and this one for my buddy. He is very happy with the shoes, which we have run in together several times. Update 20/05/2022 I have just received my pair of these shoes. I usually use size 10.5 and some brands size 11. I ordered 10.5 and it turned out to be long. It's longer than the Freerider Pro and all my other size 11's. As I live abroad and after receiving the shoes I can't return after the 30 day return period…

Pros
  • I am very satisfied with the shoes, the quality is good.
Cons
  • May be too tight around the ankles for some

Comfortable shoes.: my rating

I usually wear a size 11 but I bought a size 10.5 and they fit perfectly. Not as stiff as some of the others I suppose but the soles still hold my Chesters up pretty well.

Pros
  • I don't know why everyone says they are tall. I have a wide foot and a long second toe. You are perfect. Also excellent grip.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for sports other than mountain biking.

Looks delicate but WASTE!

Most mountain bike shoes are TERRIBLE. They look great and hold up great. A year (6-8 hours per week) of heavy/hard riding - fall, winter, spring, summer.

Pros
  • Surprised they actually came up with ARCH SUPPORT. It also looks great. Now I can regularly ride my gravel bike in cafes.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate support for those with foot or ankle injuries

Sturdy shoes, don't walk far in them.

This show went as expected. I am an 11 US male, ordered 11 and 10.5 and found 11 fit better although I only buy a small margin. As expected, this is a very flat sole and not much support. Not a problem driving but if you are going to be walking far I would suggest carrying something else and changing into this before the trip. Haven't worn them long enough to call it a disability but they seem durable and have survived a few falls with no issues.

Pros
  • What a great product
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with flat pedals.

Favorite sneakers - 2nd pair

I love them - I wear them as both casual and dressy sneakers, often in the office. The flat, grippy bottom is perfect for using my bike at work.

Pros
  • Great shoes for MTB. Comfortable and great. Very persistent.
Cons
  • I'm not sure about shoes. Yes, they work, but the fabric was fading on my pair.

Half less - $60 can't go wrong (edit - not long)

I doubt they'll last as long as the more expensive 5-10s, but they're good for what they are. Adidas_official seller was good. Edit: It seems Adidas have introduced a subscription shoes business model, you will need 2 or 3 of these a year as the outsole falls apart quickly! Will spend more on another brand once they are completely destroyed. This is wasteful as the tops are rarely worn.

Pros
  • They are comfortable and look great. I will use them as good shoes and the others for cycling.
Cons
  • Cannot provide adequate protection from dirt and grime

Good value....!!! in my rating

A good, stiff shoe with a sturdy heel makes cycling efficient and stylish enough for shopping. Uncomfortable for walking/hiking so don't plan on pushing your bike far.

Pros
  • worth your money
Cons
  • The product is garbage

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks great! good for me

A little big for me, although I've scaled down. But I'm still happy with the fit. For the record, I wear 11 in Vans and Nikes.

Pros
  • Great fit. Love her.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with sensitive skin

Riding a bike is better than walking

I've worn skateboarding shoes on all my bike rides since I was a child, so this was my first time wearing cycling shoes. They are MUCH stiffer in the sole than my Vans and Nike SB and a ton stiffer at the ankles, which I love when I ride my bike or motorbike, but when I wear them to work all day the stiffness can get quite stiff . unfavorable

Pros
  • The perfect shoe for Enduro
Cons
  • Possibly not enough padding

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I think the fit is good.

Local thaws freeze too much to power them. Based on fit and finish you can't go wrong if you're unfamiliar with flat pedals. I've been using clips for 22 years.

Pros
  • The shoe features a high-friction stealth outsole that provides exceptional traction and stability, even on wet or slippery surfaces.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer a roomy fit.
