I tried different types of trades and was not completely satisfied. I wasn't willing to pay $25-$50 a piece. I need twenty for the overhead lighting in the dining room (the old building doesn't have hard wiring above the dining table so I had to improvise). They seemed like a good option to try. I've bought a lot of LED candles and these cones are great. I was expecting a "flickering" flame (actually the flame was moving), but it wasn't. The flame is actually a plastic bubble and stands still. A subtle movement comes from the light element in the bubble! The flame seems to pulsate... like a real candle. No battery installation instructions. The first candle never lit. I figured I set up the battery correctly and turned the second one on for 1 minute and then wouldn't turn it on again. These are really great candles. They are so easy to use with a remote control. You turn them on from the bottom of the candle and then the remote just turns them on or off and you just press the timer button on the remote and they stay on for up to 5 hours.
