I don't stress much when using them on my Miller Little propane/oxygen torch. The flashlight is not affected in any way.

Would have been 5 stars but wasn't exactly like the picture. They came as a different brand. But a quality brand has arrived.

Peace of mind paid off when I made a low pressure rookie mistake with my rosebud tip. I had a learning experience, no accident. I installed the tubing at the end of the bottle, not the end of the torch handle. I wasn't sure what to set it to. In any case, my memory fire was quickly corrected in the apex, but I was glad they were there, although it wasn't "evidence" tested to the brink of failure.

I think this is a good cheap safety feature. It's pretty rare for a flame to go into a bottle, but I guess you never know, I've heard of it. It works (I think).
