Not sure if the reviews are complaining about the brightness. Works best in an almost completely dark room for best results, but I can see pet spots in twilight equivalent lighting. The dog hates the reprimands it receives for all hidden wrongdoing. Do not order this light if you are not comfortable with the results. (Disgusting!)

This lightweight and compact UV lamp is designed to quickly and effectively fix UV resin in a small space. It does an excellent job and is the perfect wavelength for the job. It dries very quickly (in seconds), penetrates small gaps easily, and is light enough that you don't have to apply directly to the stain. Very happy with the light.

Great stuff! We have 2 cats and while we've never had a problem with cat litter when we were preparing to sell our house we wanted to make sure we were cleaning the areas around the cat litter thoroughly and making sure we were using the right products. This light really helped to see what areas we were missing! I also learned that these types of lights detect counterfeit money (good to know)!

Used fluorescent paint to find a leak in my car's engine compartment. Works great, light intensity is good and the dye was visible even in full daylight. This is not a magic organic detector. Bright white things will shine in a dark room. Thus, salt crystals from dried bodily fluids may, but most likely not, be visible. Maybe your pet's dried urine. Possibly dried sweat. blood, no. Ejaculate, maybe when fresh. The glow in the toilet is the salt of the tap water, not the lack of cleaning. Well…

Not sure what the rating is asking when I am asked to rate "thickness"? Lol is that a flashlight? I don't know what this question asks. but this light does NOT work to see urine. That's what I got it for, to see where my new pup kept urinating on the carpet and it showed no pee at all, old or new (trust me, old and new stains keep popping up). Potty training didn't go well. We recently adopted an elderly cat who unfortunately splashes water in our home. We kept cleaning, but we could tell from the smell that we were missing something.
