Disappointing Results from Potting Compound

This potting compound falls short when it comes to creating strong adhesion in industrial and scientific settings. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I had high expectations for this product's effectiveness and was disappointed.

Pros
  • Easy to mix.
Cons
  • Poor bonding properties.

excellent product: adhesives, sealants and lubricants

very good for encapsulating printed circuit boards in metal housings. It takes 24 hours to cure and longer to fully cure and a bit slow to start with a small batch. My best results have been mixing quantities over 15ml and curing within 24 hours. The mixture is initially low in viscosity and will not seal any cracks or holes in the hull, so plan accordingly.

Pros
  • mixing ratio 2:1
Cons
  • high price

This product has become much thinner than I expected, almost like water. Also the set says 5-7 minutes of work but it was a lot longer, more like an hour or more before it stopped working everywhere off the board. I mixed it very carefully in a 2:1 ratio using the measuring cups that came with it. I even tried 2 different batches, the second was closer to 1:1 with hardener, didn't help. I tried leaving it on the board and components for at least an hour and it didn't even start installing. If…

Pros
  • 5-7 minutes exposure time
Cons
  • I will write later
