💧 FloodStop FS-3/4-C Automatic Valve - Enhanced Water Heater Protection Review

I have 2 of these locally and this was a different one. They work well and twice prevented the tank from overflowing. My plumber does the installation. In fact, it came earlier and the goods haven't arrived yet. He was on the truck and I ended up taking advantage of it.

Installed on my 3/4 inch copper line in front of my water heater and softener. It's good quality and worked great when I tested it. I had to tighten the compression fittings very hard to stop the small leaks. give me some rest

I had a previous model that lasted about 5 years before the ball valve got stuck in hard water conditions in Colorado . . Still, $150 for 5 years of service is a good deal - 4 stars for that. I used to try using one of the water leak valve plugs to match the Z-Wave hub/smart hub. Unfortunately, the reliability of Z-Wave devices was not high and I constantly received offline messages. Instead, I've opted for a system that doesn't require a wireless connection to report the leak. I installed it on my main plumbing to stop leaks going into the basement. I love this device. I set mine too! It was easy to use a compression fitting rather than buying a model that required plumbing or soldering skills. I simply removed the approx. 2.75" copper tubing with a tubing cutter (very easy to do) and put the valve in place. Run a wire to the control module and you're ready to start your sensors. Wow. I wish this was in place before the pipe was nicked and damaged other blocks in my building. It says water heater, but I asked the plumbers to move the first cold water outlet far enough away from my apartment's main plumbing (just a few inches) to install that valve first in line and protect the whole house.
