Great product for this money.

I have this with a 60 gallon secondary filter for my Fluval 407 canister filter. Easy to set up. Great for the biological part of my filtration. Due to the mobile and constantly moving sand, only strong bacteria grow. Very quiet. I would recommend this product to anyone thinking of an extra filter.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Legacy model

After proving difficult to set up in an aquarium, I placed it in my sink so it would be safer than destroying my display aquarium. From the sink I was able to take my time to make sure the plumbing…

leaky fittings for fish and aquatic animals

I have read a lot about fluidized bed filters, they are considered to be the most efficient type of filter. That's why I bought this Lifeguard filter. The filter is a good size but takes up a lot of space under the tank once all the hoses are connected. It's designed to be versatile, allowing you to connect it in multiple configurations depending on your setup and how you want to use it. I hooked it up to one of my canister filters on my 120 gallon Discus tank as they produce a lot of waste and
