Died after 4 months, working again.

DEAD FOR 4 MONTHS :( I THOUGHT I had a quality product. I like the product but thought it would last a long time. Update: I opened the unit, reassembled it and it worked again. Don't know what's happening is, but it works.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons

map and trace; no waste!

A must for every data scientist. perfect size Checks the schematic and can easily trace the twisted pair cable with a compatible probe. Most will work I suspect. Best of all, it's easy to trace the cable, making it easy to find the cable. I use it daily. I love this tool.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

No, the batteries are not dead.

These reviews are funny. Count how many say the tester came with dead batteries and you should just shake your head. The 4 AAA power adapters that come with the kit are covered with a thin transparent shrink wrap to avoid draining the battery inside the package. No, they are not dead as many reviews say. The tester seems to work fine as described.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

My favorite Fluke products are Diagnostic Test & Measurement

You can't go wrong with anything Fluke makes. I would give 5 stars if it didn't cost 80€. I don't mind paying because the unit works well, sounds good, indicates wrong connections, shorts, and reversed leads. I got it in December and use it weekly, sometimes daily. Definitely worth it if you can afford the money. If you are on a budget I would go with the little vdv scout pro cartographer. They range from $70 to $150 for the higher tier. small has a text display and comes with 5 remote controls

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Legacy
