🔧 28 II Rugged Fluke Digital Multimeter Review

Accuracy is essential and this gauge has it in abundance. I used an old Simpsons from the 60's but my old eyes had problems with the meter. It's like or more accurate and you can't miss big numbers. I only use it for troubleshooting at home and in the workshop, but it's fun to work with and the easy-to-read display gets the job done faster. Can't recommend enough. Expensive but worth the money.

I'm only giving this 4 stars for a couple of reasons, 1. This gauge is huge, I felt like the same strength of this gauge could be contained in a smaller package. 2 The continuity test beep is very quiet and cannot be heard when working with live equipment. The response time of 3 reads is a bit slow, it is not an instant read. The 4 wires that come with the gauge are cheap, stiff and a little bulky. Overall I like the meter for what I use it for. I have not been able to get more than $100 off this price at any of the three industrial suppliers that my employer regularly purchases from. When I bought this gauge for personal use, I bought it from North Coast Electric through Revain. Unfortunately the first meter I received was dead on arrival.
