Fluval A20021 X06 Primer Assembly: Efficient and Reliable Solution for Optimal Aquarium Filtration Review

This item is exactly as described. Easy to replace. As mentioned in some other reviews, the plastic can be a bit brittle. I try to be as accurate as possible and not use it more than necessary. There is no stronger and more reliable part, but this one fits and works perfectly.

The pump has been repaired! We always had to prime a lot, and one day, after a lot of priming, it broke. We ordered this replacement part, it was easy to install and it was a relief as replacing the entire unit would have been expensive. An unexpected bonus, now our pump doesn't need millions of pumps to start! I think we used to have a lemon.

Love it! I had to replace the original pump after a few years (about 3(?) years) of owning my Fluval 306 filter as it wouldn't prime on its own and the pump wasn't priming like it used to. Swapped it for a new one and now it works great. I love my Fluval filter! I use it for a 40 gallon aquarium for my baby red-eared slider :-)

If you have a Fluval filter that won't refill, don't buy a new one! Fluval canister filters are great: efficient, quiet, efficient, well designed. Unfortunately, these little primers are pretty easy to break. Good luck trying to get the filter to work without a primer. Luckily, this little kit makes it easy to fix.
