🔧 Optimized Impeller Assembly for Fluval FX5/FX6 Canister Filters Review

Perfect match for my old FX5 (9 YEAR OLD+) Works like new again. Has worked continuously except for cleanings for 10 years in my 240 gallon fresh water tank.

Exact Replacement Impeller for Fluval fx-5. Very quiet operation. Minimal hassle to change sleeve, pro tip - use a flashlight to see where you are placing the hook.

I have yet to change the impeller on one of my 5 FX6 filters but as a good scout it's always best to be prepared! I've been using Fluval for as long as I can remember.

I installed the impeller and the power is so low. It was assumed to be a new impeller. It is obvious that this is not the case. I am assuming it was used and then sold as new. Dissatisfied. I had to buy a second wheel from another source.

As advertised. I can't really say much. I needed an impeller and it worked. 3 stars is a hassle free rating for me, but also didn't blow me away with a specific result that exceeded expectations. If I had bought this and been told it would take 5 days to ship and would receive it the next day it would be worth the 4 stars. If I got this and it really improves the flow rate and also works better than the factory then another star. 3 works fine as expected

Missing o-rings and tool to pull out the old bushing. Then there was a sleeve between the magnet and the impeller, which did not press against the impeller. At first I thought that compared to my other FX5 and FX6 impellers I already have, I thought the replacement was just a newer model with a spacer between the impeller and the magnet to keep the magnet from moving moved forward. But after filling the canister and noting that the impeller was not spinning I had to disassemble the canister…
