This is a high quality foam. It has a slightly grippy finish so it really stays on the finished wood (or in the case). We use this on the futon's bare slats, on the seat bottom, to improve the comfort of the futon when used as a sofa. Our futon is perfect for this and the grippy texture keeps the cushion under the futon.
