Why so much more than the EU price?

Not sure why these speakers are almost twice as expensive in the US as they are in the EU? I love Focal but it's hard to take.

Pros
  • Front connector
Cons
  • Only available in black

White bliss with Focal!

As described. Painted them this beautiful white color to match the home decor. Several hours of preparation and polishing, but I like the result. The black color turned out to be too dark, the coasters are, in our opinion, solid and well made. For the price, I would have preferred felt or rubber grommets for the speaker tray (where the speakers sit). This avoids possible vibrations of the speaker relative to the stand.

Pros
  • New Slatefiber Diffusers
Cons
  • New Competitors Available

Mechanics: SMSL SU8 RCA -> SMSL DA-9 (50W per Infinium channel with subwoofer output) -> Focal Chora 806 in 2-3 feet near field at the table. Tilt inward 20 degrees and spaced 6 feet apart. Sensitivity: They are easy to control. I'd go with headroom, but you don't need more than 40 watts per channel to drive them comfortably and without distortion. I chose the DA9 because the output is very clean and well controlled with a good subwoofer implementation. The power draw is a bit harsh so…

Pros
  • TNF tweeter, aluminium/magnesium
Cons
  • Non-safe
