This is my second pair. I bought L knowing they would be too small in M for my 7 year old. Garden. I used them to go through airport security. Everything was fine in the US, I have to take them off at Heathrow. Don't try to climb the escalator in it, it's awful. Everything is cute in them, when it's cold your feet will be cold. And their soles can wear out very quickly (my first one had a hole in it after 6 weeks of light use). But I still love them and use them.

I always wear a size 8 but if I had to go a half size up or down I would go for a 7 1/2. They should go in medium to size 8, and large starts at size 8. Medium was snug enough to be uncomfortable and I figured (after reading the comments) that large wouldn't fit either, so I returned them . I kept the second pair (medium) because they were so cheap it wasn't worth returning. I test them to see if they can stretch over time. If they fit better, I would love them!

As a lady with big foot, my struggle is endless. XL says size 11-12 but should actually be 10-11. I wear an 11 or 11.5 width (depending on the shoe), they are very tight, my toes stick out over the edge seam that should be in front of my toes. Shoes stretch to the limit. Another 1/2 inch backing would have made them perfect for me, as would a size 12, but it would have cost more money. Pooh. If they did fit they would be very comfortable and I would highly recommend them. Order this is my offer

I don't understand why people say they fit snugly. Either they didn't understand that they are supposed to fit like socks, or the fit is different depending on the design you choose. I ordered these for myself on the plane and as a base layer at home during the cold season because I don't particularly like slippers and my cashmere socks are too slippery on our tiled floors. To be honest they are really ugly on your feet. Seriously - VERY ugly. Worse than celadon socks hence four stars. As many other reviewers have pointed out these slippers are not true to size at all. I wear a size 7 1/2, sometimes an 8, and I (correctly) ordered a size L based on other reviews. But the size of Large also turned out to be small. The problem wasn't the length, it was the width of the fingers. Unless you have very narrow feet, or haven't worn pointy shoes in your entire life (to the point where your toes have become pointy themselves), these slippers probably won't be comfortable for you.
