Perfect for a small boat or kayak

This anchor is perfectly sized for my small 10’ boat. It’s very compact when folded, and doesn’t take up much room for storage. The bag that came with the anchor is thin and flimsy, but still useful for keeping everything together when anchor’s not being used. The anchor held pretty well in shallow water (around 8’ to 12’ deep) with fast moving current in a river. If set correctly, I speculate it’ll also do fine in deeper water. But I’ll have to buy a much longer rope to set anchor at the…

Pros
  • Just what I needed for my kayak
Cons
  • Didnt send the anchor. Just rope and a D-ring

Perfect for Paddle Board

Did great on its first time out - even with shortened rope. I anchored my paddle board on a soft underwater sandbar about 100' from jagged rocks. It held most of the time until some good sized 3-4' crashing waves came in. Still then, the board just dragged it at a slow crawl that I could easy catch up with in the surf. I wouldn't leave my board unattended for long periods of time with this anchor, but to jump off and swim or walk away for a bit in calm to moderate weather, it worked great so…

Pros
  • Docking & Anchoring Equipment
Cons
  • The anchor may be difficult to deploy and retrieve in deep waters or strong currents

An anchor needs mass/weight

These 3 lb and lighter weight anchors will not hold a canoe in basically any wind. I've tried using them in my 16' Nova Craft Pal kevlar canoe, many times, and I blow all over Wisconsin lakes. They may work fine in smaller kayaks and paddle boards, but I would not recommend for canoe use.

Pros
  • Ideal Size & Storage Friendly:Unlike mushroom anchors, our small boat anchor is only 12.2"*3.15"*3.15"when closed. Its compact size makes it easy to store and easy to carry
Cons
  • The carrying bag may not be durable enough to withstand frequent use and may rip or tear easily

Must-have for paddleboards

I LOVE this! It it so wonderful for when you get to the middle of an area and you want to take a little paddle break and have a snack or take some pics or whatever. I just put it at the back of my board when not in use. I often hook several boards all together to the anchor and it still keeps us all in place!

Pros
  • Worked perfect for my kayak anchor.
Cons
  • The rope provided with the anchor is only 32.8 feet, which may not be long enough for some users

Lifesaver! good for me

Don’t forget to lock out to anchor prior to throwing it in the water! If not you will continue to float away.I use this with my fishing kayak in Alaska. It saves me so much energy, especially on windy days.

Pros
  • Works well for a kayak on a lake.
Cons
  • Bought it for jet ski needs to be a little bigger and talons sharper
