Description of Folding knife Cold Steel Voyager Large Clip Point Plain Edge (29AC) black

Best EDC KnifeThe Cold Steel Large Voyager Clip Point 29AC folding knife is considered one of the most successful EDC knives on the market. It harmoniously combines high functionality, excellent build quality and materials used, stylish design and quite affordable price. The knife is designed for use in the city and at the same time withstands operation in the harshest conditions. The Clip Point blade is versatile and great for a wide variety of jobs. The narrow point has good penetration, while the convex cutting edge and butt slopes provide excellent cutting properties. AUS10A steel has high corrosion resistance and strength, and is able to maintain sharpness for an extremely long time. The Stonewashed finish gives the blade a matte finish and makes the scratches that occur during use of the knife invisible. The blade is removed using a double-sided peg, so the knife is convenient for both right-handed and left-handed people. The blade is securely fixed by the patented Tri-Ad lock mechanism, which is an advanced back lock. The lock withstands the most severe loads without any backlash, and is the most reliable of the existing ones. The curved handle with a relief surface, a large recess for the index finger and an emphasis on the heel side ensures the most reliable and comfortable holding of the knife, including with a gloved hand. The handle is made up of aluminum liners and overlays made of fiberglass reinforced plastic - Griv-Ex. The clip for fastening to clothes can be installed on either side of the handle. Its pros: Shape and size are perfect. Great in the hand. Grip and very comfortable handle. An excellent knife for the woods and the countryside. I was pleased with the factory sharpening. Sharp initially. Has some cons: Tight clip. Together with a corrugated handle, they tear a pocket. But, I consider this a minor drawback. I think that such a knife is even more convenient to carry in a case.

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

After buying the first time was at a loss: "What . I bought it?" But in a week I would not change this knife for any other. Because it has become just an extension of the hand. And even somehow uncomfortable when it is not in your pocket. First of all, I had to get used to the lock, after the axis lock with its one-handed closing, the knife seemed uncomfortable. I was struck by the low weight of the knife, with the same dimensions, it is lighter than the Ganzo740, which I carried before. The…

Pros
  • Light weight with side liners, handle ergonomics, quality of steel on the blade, shape, length and width of the blade, reliable lock, simplicity and reliability of the design (no small elements, springs).
Cons
  • The classic type of lock eliminates the possibility of closing the knife with one hand. You can, of course, try to close on the reverse grip, but without the proper skill it is slow and fraught with injury. Steel is very difficult, it requires a competent selection of abrasives and sharpening techniques. The sharpening angle of the knife out of the box is only suitable for chopping wood, as always with Coldsteel knives, it must be resharpened to use the knife for its intended purpose.
