Description of 🥫 FoodSaver FM2000-FFP Vacuum Sealer Machine: Starter Bags & Rolls, Safety Certified (Black)

VERSATILITY & CONVENIENCE IN THE KITCHEN: When food is protected from air and freezer burn, everyday meal planning is easier—double the recipe of your favorite dishes then store the extra portions for a quick and nutritious meal on busy weeknights, and spend less time grocery shopping when you buy frequently used items in bulk. SIMPLE TO USE: Just add food to the bag, insert the open end into the FM2000, and the machine takes care of the rest—removing all of the air, creating an air tight seal, and stopping automatically once seal is complete. STRETCH YOUR DOLLAR: Food preserved with the FoodSaver System and stored in the freezer can last up to 3 years, rather than 6 months, and it will still taste as fresh as the day you sealed it. And prep ahead meals and leftovers stored in the fridge can still be enjoyed weeks later. NOT JUST FOR FOOD STORAGE: Use your vacuum sealer to store liquids and creams when you travel, protect important papers or photographs from mildew or possible water damage, create your own refreezable ice packs, and much more. SIMPLE TO CLEAN: Exclusively designed, patented removable drip tray, which collects any excess liquid and debris that may result from vacuum sealing, helps keep countertops clean and is dishwasher safe; Cord Length: 24 inches.

Great Investment for Fresh Food Storage

The FoodSaver FM2000 Machine Starter Certified is a must-have for any home and kitchen. With its powerful suction, it keeps food fresh up to five times longer than traditional storage methods. The machine is easy to use and takes up minimal counter space. The starter kit includes everything you need to start vacuum sealing various foods immediately. Although replacement bags can be expensive and it might not be as portable as other models, the benefits definitely outweigh the costs.

Pros
  • Extend the freshness of food for up to 5 times longer
Cons
  • Requires additional cost for replacement bags and rolls

Much better than the old one but still some problems.

I bought this cable to replace my old one. The new features are very nice, for example the lid no longer has to be held and there is a separate "Seal Only" function. We had issues with some packages not being sealed hence I only gave 4 stars. We're working on it and assume it's operator error, but the bags that weren't sealed had the problem in the same place, so I'm wondering if it's not the heat strip. We double check the seal before putting it in the freezer and when in doubt seal it upside…

Pros
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Exclusive, patented, removable drip tray that catches excess liquid and vacuum-sealed dirt, helps keep countertops clean and is dishwasher safe; Cable Length: 24"
Cons
  • Expensive

Not as difficult as I feared

I haven't bought a vacuum sealer in about 15 years because I've always been put off by reviews saying they just didn't work or were difficult to use. I've found that there's a short learning curve when you realize that you have to put the edge of the bag in the *middle* of the small channel if you want air to be sucked out of it. What I tried first was to just lay it all the way over the duct so that the edge is on the opposite side and no air can be drawn through the duct. fill the bag. And…

Pros
  • NOT JUST FOR FOOD STORAGE: Use a vacuum sealer to store liquids and creams when travelling, protect important documents or photos from mold or possible water damage, make your own ice packs to refreeze and more
Cons
  • Dear Insurance
