Very nice but they kill my ears when I sleep. The back of them sticks out too much. I had to get up in the middle of the night to get them out because my ears were swollen from trying to sleep with them.

In LOVE! This earring is so beautiful and the opal is gorgeous! The back is attached and holds up well. My ear hurt for the first few days because this plank is bigger than my cartilage, but now I feel great!

Worn for a week and the mail fell out. It looks like it should spin, but it doesn't. Don't waste money. I would really like to read more reviews before I buy it, this is not an uncommon problem with this piece of jewelry.

In general everything is fine. I use it for my right ear piercing. Unfortunately the curve doesn't fit my ear with the big stone at the bottom. If I had a piercing in my left ear, that would be great. I've had the piercing for a few days now and I haven't had any trouble sleeping or pain.

Magnificent, solid, exquisite thing. Three problems: 1) The mail is HUGE. It barely fits my medium sized cartilage piercing and it hurts after an hour. 2) The ball is VERY difficult to screw onto the stand. It's a very fragile ball with a tiny hole and I've dropped it dozens of times. It usually takes me 8-10 tries to spin it. Easily lost. 3) Beautiful opals will stick and be easily removed with normal wear. Shame as it is a beautiful piece and exactly what I was looking for.

First off it's nice and fits the crook of my upper ear nicely. The only thing that bothered me was that the bar was a bit too long for me, which caused some rotation and generally didn't stay in place. I fixed this by placing a clear earring stand between the back of the ear and the ball. Ideal! It stays where I want it and is at least as comfortable as the tire I normally wear. I'm definitely happy with it. In fact, I wore it all week!

Although the earring is well made and beautiful (I got a lot of compliments on it) it is difficult to put on and it flakes up to fasten 3 out of 5 stars. Instead of the post being attached to the opal and the ball being attached/detachable, the opposite is true: the ball is attached to the post and the opal is attached/detachable. While this may not be a problem for others, it made piercing and securing much more difficult for me. It also makes me question how reliable the earring is overall…
