I loved Forbidden Broadway and we've lost something special now that it's closed forever. This book is a worthy tribute to an institution that will be remembered for a long time and will never be forgotten.

Like the show itself (in its many incarnations), the book is very funny. It's peppered with entertaining stories from cast and other participants in the production. Aspiring copywriters will benefit from learning the witty lyrics of Gerard Alessandrini. Highly recommended for all Broadway music lovers.

I've been a fan of Forbidden Broadway since the series began in the early 80's, so I've been looking forward to this book. In terms of information, humor and point of view, the book does not disappoint, although the historical context is somewhat suspect. The main problem with this book is all the typos, of which there are many. I was so distracted by all the mistakes and typos that I started counting them all. I gave up when I was about 60. Most of these errors are found in the actual lyrics…
