I am 74 years old and have inner ear problems that are affecting my balance. The larger stick helps me stand more upright and keep my head down to look at the ground. The stick itself is appealing but not too rustic. I really like that there are two venues at different levels. I used a friend's walking stick and I like it even better.

I like that this is a three piece cane. My 5 year old nephew can use it without a middle when he goes in nature with his parents. He can continue to take advantage of that as an adult simply by adding a center part. A compass is built into the top of the handle so parents can show him what it's for and how to use it.

Christmas present for son-in-law - my daughter is an avid tourist - her husband is not very good. But to his credit, he takes her for walks whenever he can, even though his legs aren't in the best shape (knees, hips, etc.).
