    Was disappointed with my results

My 130xp mill doesn't weld as well as the port freight flux wire I just sold out before ordering forny wire. This wire also burned out faster than the HF wire. Replaced it with a newer Vulcan HF and again it welds much smoother than that Forney wire.

    Pros
    • Pretty impressive
    Cons
    • Only available in white

    Excellent quality welding wire

Definitely one of the cheapest wires available from Revain but that doesn't really matter to my little Harbor Freight welder. I went through about a 2lb roll and a half and had no problems. I plan on getting one of their Β£10 rolls soon as it's an even better deal. Overall a very good cable for the price.

mine runs slower than big brands

I have a basic gasless cored wire welding machine; Feed settings 1-9 and two volt settings 1 and 2. I always use volts at 2 and wire feed at 4 or 5 with Lincoln or Hobart wire. This wire took me some time to figure out I set it to 1.5 wire feed and to be honest it works amazingly well compared to a well known brand. So if you are having tuning issues I suggest reducing the wire feed.

    • High marks for support and durability from testers

    • A lot

For small coil welders Forney is the best flux cored wire for the money

I've been using Forney 2 lb cored wire spools for years and it works as well as any more expensive brand of flux cored wire and since you usually use it For about $15 a spool, it's a much better deal than buying 1 lb spools of Lincoln Cored Wire at Home Dumpo or 2 lb spools of overpriced Hobart flux. Core by Tractor Supply.

Useless wire. Don't waste your money on this junk.

I bought this around the second week of April and just needed to use it now. I installed it in my welder and tried to use it. The wire could not be felt and kept hissing and spattering. I walked a few meters and tried different settings to get it working. I spent several hours fiddling with my welding machine trying to figure out what was wrong and several hours grinding down the welds I wanted to make with this wire. I ended up going to the local shop and bought another spool of wire and…

    Great Structure Wire

As an intermediate welder I find this wire easy to work with and makes pretty good welds. Favorite for thicker components. Anything smaller than 1/8" won't work well with this wire, and regardless of settings, welds tend to be very porous. Also, this wire definitely melts at a slightly higher temperature than many other wires, making it better for heating thicker materials, but the downside is that thinner pieces are easier to burn through. For sheet metal work, I prefer to use the Blue Demon…
