A good stick for sharpening an anvil. Did a little looking.

As a test, I came across a fear anvil in the harbor. Uses about three layers. Small cross check (cracks). I didn't quite get to my good (higher) anvil because of a check. Works nice and smoothly. The slag was easily removed.

  • Absolutely amazing!

Test them first. on welding machines and accessories

I was very disappointed. I ordered 2 boxes and one box works horribly. Porosity was everywhere fresh out of the box. I changed polarity just in case + and - 50 are on my ranges and even warmed up the rods to 400 for 3 days. This box will not weld properly. However the problem arose because I bought 2 boxes and mixed them together in a pole oven because I'm a big brain around here. Forni won't run away again if you give her to me!

Without a doubt the worst rod I have ever ridden. I have used Lincoln, Hobart, Blue Demon, US Forge and these Forney rods. No matter how I set the welder, travel speed, rod angle, etc. I got the results you see in this picture EVERY time. Because of this experience, I will never buy a Forney again. These rods also came from new packaging! It's not like they're sitting in the rain or anything. I have used Blue Demon and US Forge rods before and after these Forney rods and the Forney rods were…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
