Great for removing paint!

Removes paint very well. Put it on an angle grinder and get ready to see how good/poor those welds are from the "welder" under the paint. You'll be glad you did. This bowl-shaped brush works better on flat surfaces, but it will get the job done. What is most striking is that the metal remains relatively intact. This is good because it doesn't remove any excess material.

Pros
  • Also for removing scale, rust and spatter
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good for removing exterior paint from concrete

I used this to scrape paint off a concrete porch (about 45 square feet) and it worked. I attached it to my Makita 4.5 inch angle grinder and it was fine. You must wear safety goggles, gloves, long pants and a long shirt when using this wire bowl. Most of it is intact but a few wires flew off and poked me like an arrow (they all do). For my porch I used it continuously for about 30 minutes and I suspect it has worn down about 25% of the wire (i.e. 75% I used with a washing machine at 2500psi…

Pros
  • FAST SPEED at 12,500 revolutions per minute (rpm)
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

I've recently used up my Forney wire bowl and have just bought another one. I usually don't leave reviews until I've used a product and I often forget afterward. But since I ordered another one, I have to say that the durability was good. Pretty aggressive (expected for a twisted wire circle) but the real reason I'm buying another is because it hasn't lost any bristles. The bristles are actually worn down to the bumps at the ends without losing a single one. The stiffness of the bristles was…
