Bought this to connect my laptop running FORScan programming to my 2011 F-150. It worked right out of the box and was ready for me. I made changes and read codes within minutes of opening the package. I had the USB wired version so I had no issues with the drivers.

Worked great. I only bought this to reset the size of my gas tank after installing a 50 gallon tank. Ford wanted over $100 for it. With this device and the (free) Forscan software on my laptop, I was able to change this setting myself. A by-product of learning this approach was being able to customize some other system settings to suit your preferences.

I'm no computer genius, but I've done my fair share of hardware/firmware assembly and modifications. This kit was like a kid downloading a bunch of free files, randomly putting all the files on a CD and uploading them to Revain. Complete garbage. There is so much junk out there with some very bad Chinglish suggestions that will NOT install or run the ELM327. What a waste of time

I have used this unit to program online purchased keys for a 2010 Ford F150 Lariat and a 2013 Ford Explorer. Now I have programmed 3 buttons and one more has to be done. These keys would cost me about $220 each at the dealer or locksmith. I bought them online, cut them on site for about $30 each and programmed them myself which has saved me 3 x 190 = $570 so far. Not to mention all the other diagnostic and correction features available in the software.

This OBD2+ Forscan reader (with free license) makes this one of the most useful purchases I've made in a while. It works fine for reading/writing on my 2013 Ford Edge. Even an unlocked GPS for the main unit (which is built in, don't know why they charge so much to activate it?) no matter what. for reading codes or for the bravest among us. Changing aspects of the various systems on your Ford (Ford MyTouch Customization). It's hard to beat the value/price of this reader.

Operating this device is as easy as sending an e-mail. I received the device, downloaded the drivers from FORscan website and confirmed the installation in Device Manager. Then enter the license code from the FORscan email they sent and boom! Added navigation to my daughter's SYNC2 Focus Titanium. The menus in the FS app looked different than what I saw in the videos (I downloaded the latest version of FS, maybe that's why) but they were actually easier to use in my opinion. The mini-CD that comes with the drivers and software contains a "Read Before Installing" text file that says you must disable your antivirus and firewall in order to install it . NO WAY! My virus scanner detects a virus on the drive! SO then go to the Questions/Answers to see if anyone found a place to download the drivers. The first question shows answers with 3 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. The first 2 of them caused my Chrome to block the download due to malicious code in the file?!?! What the hell…

While it's not easy to "clone" a new key/fob for my F150, this product worked like a charm. Well if you are unfamiliar with using a computer then save yourself the headache and pay your local dealer to program a new security key. The cost in my area is over $70 without a key. So to get started you'll need a "new blank unprogrammed key" (and an alarm fob) which you can find at Revain.
