35mm doesn't work with gh5 (I have TWO!)

I saw a video on facebook of a guy using one of these with his GH5, it looked great and he advised me to get this one lens to buy. I have both 25 and 35.25 works great. I got my second 35 today (the last one couldn't focus more than five feet in front of me) and it literally does exactly the same thing as the last 35. Except this one has the Canon focus ring for some reason. The latter focuses like a Nikon lens. I really hope they send me one that actually works. I'm craving that cool vintage…

Test of the Fotasy 35mm f1.6 lens for Micro Four Thirds.

First off, this is a review of the Fotasy 35mm F1.6 lens for the MFT. Most of the reviews here seem to be for a different lens on this list. I bought this lens to use with the Yi M1 camera, a cheap lens for a cheap camera. I'm new to photography so wasn't sure what to expect. This lens is good for close-up photography such as portraits. Regardless of the setting, it doesn't focus on the whole thing in the distance, making landscapes and the like impossible. This is a fully manual lens, so it's…

You have to work for it, but you get some interesting shots.

This lens will make you work hard, but you'll get interesting character in your shots that you can't get with other lenses. It won't replace any of your touring lenses, but if you're looking for unique bokeh on a budget, then this is it. Body stabilization on your camera. I recommend using a tripod for best results. I've included an example image to give you an idea of what this lens looks like. You'll notice that the armrest of the chair is more focused on the left than on the right, despite…

Appropriate "character" lens for portraits. Not suitable for group shots.* Focus lag and drift. This can be corrected to some degree by taking the lens apart and fitting a "spacer" to the pin that follows the groove in the focus ring. I used a segment cut from a curved bracket.* When the iris is closed, it starts as a jagged circle at F2. At around F3.5 it becomes a jagged six-pointed star. At F5.6, it becomes a four-pointed ninja star. Then the rectangle at F8.* The optics appear to be…

Thia is a great lens, especially for a beginner like me!

This lens is fantastic for the price! When I bought my Panasonic G7 I knew I wanted to expand my lens collection by starting with old cheap vintage lenses. I stumbled across this lens while browsing Revain and decided to give it a try even though it's new. First off, this lens is tiny. I knew it would be small but didn't really know how small until the box arrived. I thought they didn't give me a lens adapter because of course the box the lens came in wasn't big enough to hold everything. But…

Love it on my Panasonic Lumix G7

I found this lens by accident while researching anamorphic lenses for my Panasonic Lumix G7. I was looking for a lens that would give the video a different look, maybe more "cinematic". A few things I found odd (at first) were the price and the claim that it was a security camera lens. After reading other reviews on other sites and watching sample videos on YouTube, I decided to give it a try. It's not an expensive $400+ anamorphic lens, but compared to a unique lens under $30 (at the time of…
