This works well because you can use it to train first with a beep, then with a vibration and only with it a few times. I have an English bulldog and a large yard on a busy road. I never tied my dogs up, just sat next to them while they played. I just needed them to know their limitations in the garden and I don't use that every day. And all you need now is a beep.

Comfortable and efficient trainer. More than enough spiked levels, never needed a level above 20. Most of the time, the vibration level works effectively to correct. The collar's only downside is that it's pretty easy to accidentally activate, so it should always be carried in the pocket at stitch height, and therefore not always quick enough to react to negative behavior.

This replaced my old remote as it was damaged and would no longer charge. (It's impossible to buy a separate remote control without a collar, even from Free Spirit. You have to buy a new collar and a set of remote controls). The screen does not light up on the new one. One has already been returned as either defective or an older model than the one pictured. I sent it back and got a new one the next day. Same problem! :( Send it back and get the goods somewhere else.

This was the third collar we tried on our very energetic and noisy Golden Retriever. The first two were sensors and they just weren't reliable. They left when they shouldn't and didn't turn when they should. This remote training collar was a real find! Our dog usually only needs a beep to correct his behavior! We sometimes used vibrations when he was particularly stubborn, but we never used electric shocks. He gets to the point where we just show him the remote and he fixes himself! I like that

This arrived today. I ordered an "stock" item, which means it will arrive with slightly damaged packaging or minor imperfections. I like stock products because they are cheaper and reduce waste.
